Leader of the Navodaya People's Front killed in shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Krishna Pillai Girubanandan, the leader of the Navodaya People's Front was killed in a shooting that had taken place today (July 9) at around 7.45 am in the area down Sea Street, Colombo 11.
According to police reports, the victim had served as an Independent Councillor at the Colombo Municipal Council. He had passed away upon admission to the Colombo National Hospital.
