COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Commissioner of the Department of Registration of Persons, Viyani Gunathilake, announced today (March 12) that the issuing of National Identity Cards for those sitting the GCE Ordinary Level Examinations this year (2018) has begun.
The Commissioner further stated that all completed applications need to be handed to the Department on or before the 31st of March.
Furthermore, she stated that information pertaining to the applications have been forwarded to all school principals via circulars.
Students aged 15 years are qualified to apply for the National ID card.
