STF Arrests Associate of Organized Crime Figure 'Kalubowila Avishka' with Over Rs. 25 Million Worth of Drugs

COLOMBO (News1st): The Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested an accomplice of 'Kalubowila Avishka' on Peiris Mawatha, Kalubowila, along with heroin and 'Ice' (methamphetamine) valued at over 25 million rupees.

Police stated that acting on a tip-off, officers conducted a raid and seized 2 kg and 10 g of 'Ice', 504 g of heroin, two mobile phones, an electronic weighing scale, and two rubber seals.

The suspect arrested is a 33-year-old resident of Kirulapone, Colombo 05.

He has been handed over to the Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) for further investigations.

According to the police, investigations revealed that the suspect is a close associate managing the local drug network of 'Kalubowila Avishka', an organized criminal and large-scale drug trafficker.
