Embilipitiya Properties Worth Rs. 150M, Suspended Over Drug Links

COLOMBO (News 1st): The use of two houses in Embilipitiya, allegedly belonging to two drug traffickers named Dinesh Parakrama and Neil Palitha, has been suspended.

This follows investigations conducted based on a complaint lodged by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Embilipitiya, with the Illegal Assets Investigation Division.

The Illegal Assets Investigation Division stated that the estimated value of these houses is approximately LKR 150 million.

The suspended properties include a 1-acre and 2-rood land in Kawantissapura, Embilipitiya, and a 23.7-perch land in Bimbaduyaya.

It has also been revealed that the suspects are involved in cannabis trafficking.
