COLOMBO (News 1st): Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism Vijitha Herath will undertake an official visit to the United Arab Emirates from September 2 to 3, as Sri Lanka seeks to further strengthen its long-standing partnership with one of its key regional economic and employment partners.
During the two-day visit, Minister Herath is scheduled to hold discussions with several senior UAE Ministers with the objective of enhancing bilateral cooperation across a range of sectors, including foreign employment, trade, investment, tourism and economic development.
Among the high-level meetings on the agenda are discussions with Dr. Abdulrahman Abdulmannan Al Awar, UAE Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation, and Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism.
As part of the official programme, Minister Herath will also participate in the second edition of "Sri Lanka Beyond Your Dreams" in Dubai on September 2.
The event will be jointly attended by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the UAE Minister of Foreign Trade.
