COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka and India have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral defence cooperation following high-level discussions between Commander of the Sri Lankan Navy, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando, and Indian Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh in New Delhi.
According to India's Ministry of Defence, Vice Admiral Damian Fernando paid a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh on August 27 during his three-day official visit to India.
The meeting focused on reviewing progress made under the Bilateral Defence Cooperation Plan, a key framework guiding defence engagements between the two neighbouring countries.
