COLOMBO (News 1st); Sri Lanka suffered a setback in the ongoing first Test against India after senior batter Dinesh Chandimal was ruled out of the match following an injury sustained while fielding on the fourth day.

Chandimal was injured during the first session after hitting his shoulder and head heavily on the ground while attempting a fielding effort.

Following the incident, he was taken for precautionary medical scans. Team officials confirmed that the scans showed no signs of internal injury.
