Sagara Kariyawasam Summoned By Colombo Crimes Division

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna General Secretary, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam, has been summoned to appear before the Colombo Crimes Division today.

Police Spokesperson ASP F.U. Wootler says Kariyawasam has been summoned to appear at 10 a.m.

The summons is in connection with an investigation into a statement he made at a media briefing, claiming that the Inspector General of Police could be assassinated in public.
