COLOMBO (News 1st): The National Dengue Control Unit says a decline in mosquito larvae density has been observed.

Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, stated that continuous efforts to eliminate mosquito breeding sites through mosquito eradication programmes and communIty support have contributed to a decline in mosquito larvae density, resulting in a reduction in the spread of dengue.

Dr. Kannangara urged the public to keep their surroundings clean and free of stagnant water to prevent mosquito breeding.
