Environment Ministry Brings In New Rules On Plastic And E-Waste Recycling

COLOMBO (News 1st):New regulations have been introduced for the recycling of plastics, polythene, and electronic products.

Minister of Environment Dr. Dhammika Pathabendi said that these regulations are being introduced in line with the provisions of the newly enacted Environmental Act.

Accordingly, the Minister said that once a manufacturer sells a product to a consumer, they will be required to ensure proper supervision of its recycling process.
