Three-Day Dengue Prevention Drive Begins Tomorrow Amid Rising Cases

COLOMBO (News 1st): A decision has been reached to implement a three-day dengue prevention program starting tomorrow. 

Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Dr. Kapila Kannangara, said that the program will be carried out under the guidance of the Ministry of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government.

The number of dengue patients in the country has now exceeded 54,000.

The National Dengue Control Unit stated that 32 people have died from the disease.

Dr. Kapila Kannangara stated that the disease continues to spread at a high-risk level in 124 Medical Officer of Health (MOH) divisions across 6 districts.
