16-Year-Old Student Killed In Motorcycle Collision In Piliyandala

COLOMBO (News 1st): A 16-year-old student has died following a collision between two motorcycles on the Piliyandala-Maharagama main road.

Police said that the accident occurred when one motorcycle, while attempting to overtake a three-wheeler, collided with another motorcycle coming from the opposite direction and subsequently crashed into an electric pole.

The deceased was a resident of Arawwala.

The other motorcyclist, who sustained injuries, is currently receiving treatment at the Kalubowila Hospital.

Further investigations into the incident are being conducted by the Piliyandala Police.
