Suspect Leads Police To Hidden Pistol And Ammunition In Meetiyagoda

COLOMBO (News 1st): Based on a disclosure made by a suspect held under a detention order, the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau has taken into custody a pistol and 5 rounds of live ammunition that were hidden in the Meetiyagoda area.

The police stated that the suspect was arrested on the 19th with the drug 'Ice' (methamphetamine).

During interrogations, based on the information revealed by him, a foreign-made pistol and five 9mm caliber bullets hidden in Meetiyagoda were discovered.

The Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division of the Central Criminal Investigation Bureau is conducting further investigations into the incident.
