Yoshitha at CIABOC Over Naval Appointment Probe

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s son, Yoshitha Rajapaksa, appeared before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption this morning.

He appeared before the commission in response to an official summons issued by the body.

Yoshitha Rajapaksa had been instructed by the Bribery Commission to appear yesterday in connection with an ongoing investigation related to his association with the Sri Lanka Navy and the British Naval Academy.

However, Yoshitha Rajapaksa informed the commission that he was unable to appear yesterday due to a court case he is currently involved in.

Accordingly, the Bribery Commission had notified him to present himself before the commission today.
