Court Summons Ex-Navy Chief Ravindra Wijegunaratne In Abduction Probe

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, has been officially named as a suspect in the high-profile case involving the abduction and enforced disappearance of 11 youths from Colombo and its suburbs.

Court summons have been issued directing the former Navy Chief to appear before court on June 27.

The case relates to a series of alleged abductions that reportedly occurred between 2008 and 2009.
