Five Arrested Over Fatal Stabbing in Omanthai

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Five suspects have been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in the Navatkuli area of Omanthai.

The arrests include the main suspect allegedly involved in the killing, along with two female suspects and two male suspects accused of aiding and abetting the crime.

The arrested are three male suspects aged 17 and 27, and two female suspects aged 20 and 23 all of whom are residents of the Navatkuli and Omanthai areas.

According to police, the victim was fatally attacked with a sharp weapon on the night before last. 

Investigations are ongoing.
