Main Suspect in the Sirisara Uyana Shooting Arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The main suspect in the shooting incident at the Sirisara Uyana apartment complex in Borella, has been arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID). 

Two people were killed and three others were injured in the shooting. 

An international red notice had been issued for the arrest of the main suspect in this shooting, and he taken into custody by CID officers at the Bandaranayake International Airport in Katunayake upon his return to the country. 

The suspect was subsequently handed over to the Colombo Crimes Division. 

The arrested suspect is a 30-year-old resident of Borella. 

The Colombo Crimes Division is conducting further investigations into the incident.
