Indian National Arrested At Katunayake With Kush Worth Millions

COLOMBO (News 1st); Customs officers at the Katunayake airport have arrested a foreign national who attempted to smuggle a stock of "Kush" cannabis worth 43.8 million rupees into the country.

The suspect has been identified as a 29-year-old Indian national.

According to Customs, the seized stock weighed 4 kilograms and 389 grams.

Investigations revealed that the suspect had arrived in the country from Bangkok, Thailand.

Customs officials stated that the drugs were found packed into four separate packets and hidden inside two suitcases.
