Over 4,000 Principal Vacancies In Schools Islandwide

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Education says there are over 4,000 principal vacancies in schools across the island.

Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Madhura Senevirathna, stated that steps will be taken to recruit suitable candidates without delay.

He added that the competitive examination for principal recruitment has been postponed due to several technical issues, and that the Department of Examinations will take steps to conduct it as soon as possible.
