LAUGFS Gas Announces Domestic LPG Price Revision Amid Escalating Global Market Pressures

COLOMBO (News 1st); Laughs Gas PLC has increased the prices of its LP gas cylinders with effect from midnight on the 7th of May 2026.

Issuing a statement, the company announced that this price increase has been made amid continued escalation in global market pressures in the procurement of LPG.

Accordingly, the price of a 12.5kg cylinder, in the Colombo district, will be increased by Rs. 545 and the new price will be Rs. 6,245.

Meanwhile, the price of a 5kg cylinder, in the Colombo district, will be increased by Rs. 220 and the new price will be Rs. 2,500.

The statement adds that LAUGFS Gas remains committed to ensuring uninterrupted LPG availability to domestic, commercial, and industrial customers across Sri Lanka despite the challenging global operating environment.
