Iran Claims It Shot Down Two US C-130s and 2 Black Hawks

News 1st - Iran has claimed that a US military rescue operation in southern Isfahan ended in failure, with Tehran alleging the destruction of multiple American aircraft during the mission.

On Sunday, a spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya joint military headquarters said the operation—reportedly aimed at evacuating a pilot from a downed aircraft—was thwarted by Iranian forces.

“The alleged US rescue operation, planned as a rapid extraction under the pretext of saving their downed pilot at an abandoned airfield south of Isfahan, ended in complete failure thanks to the timely presence of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the spokesperson said.

He further claimed that two US C-130 transport planes and two Black Hawk helicopters were destroyed during the confrontation.
