Businesses Can Obtain Fuel QR Codes for All Vehicles - Ministry Consultant

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Sumudu Rathnayaka, Consultant to the Ministry of Digital Economy, says that all businesses can obtain fuel QR codes for all vehicles owned by the enterprise.

Speaking to News 1st, Rathnayaka explained that the facility can be accessed by registering with the Business Registration Number (BRN) and a mobile phone number. 

According to Rathnayaka, QR codes with new Fuel Quotas for all vehicles in use under one business establishment can be obtained under one profile, by submitting the required Business Registration Number and a Mobile Phone Number with no requirement of a NIC. 

Approximately 6.4 Million users have registered under the fuel QR code system where, 2.8 Million users are newly registered vehicles. Around 100,000 more users are yet to be registered with the Fuel QR code system.
