Centralized Electronic System for Asset and Liability Declaration, to be Introduced

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A centralized electronic system for declaring assets and liabilities will be launched on March 31. 

The initiative aims to fully digitalize the asset and liability declaration process. 

The new system will enable authorities to identify inaccurately declared information as well as instances of unusual wealth accumulation.

According to the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption, this move is expected to bring efficiency, modernity and independence to the nation's anti-corruption efforts.
