Special Window to Purchase Fuel For Those Yet To Register Under QR Code System Today

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A special opportunity has been given to purchase fuel today for individuals who were unable to download the QR code, failed to register or have not been able to obtain under the QR based fuel distribution so far.

Additionally, The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation says that steps have been taken to distribute fuel under the QR code system using the odd–even number plate method at filling stations. 

Accordingly, the system is implemented based on the last digit of the vehicle number plate.

Vehicles with number plates ending in 0 or an even number will be eligible to obtain fuel on even-numbered days, while those ending in an odd number can obtain fuel on odd-numbered days.

Nearly 5 million users have already registered under the QR system so far.
