Deadline Revised for Degree Qualification for Graduates Applying for Teacher Service Exam

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The deadline required to complete a degree qualification which is a pre requisite for the Competitive Examination to recruit graduates into the Teacher Service has been revised.

Accordingly, individuals under the age of 40 who completed their degree between February 10, 2023 and March 05, 2026 are now eligible to apply for the examination.

The amended Gazette notification in this regard, has been issued. 

Under the previous Gazette, only those who had completed their degree between February 10, 2023 and June 30, 2025 were eligible to apply.

The new Gazette further states that individuals who were serving in the Public Service as of February 10, 2023, and who have resigned with proper approval, are also eligible to apply provided they have completed their degree before March 05, 2026.
