Health Ministry Reports Rising Dengue Risk in Schools

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The Ministry of Health says surveys have revealed an increase in the percentage of dengue larvae detected in schools.

Acting Director of the National Dengue Control Unit, Kapila Kannangara, stated that dengue larvae are currently reported in 40 percent of schools inspected.

He also noted that fumigation activities are being carried out at centres where the GCE Ordinary Level examination is being held.
