COLOMBO (News1st):The National Council on Road Safety has decided to acquire two additional mobile laboratories to bolster the program to identify motorists driving under the influence of narcotics.
Manjula Kularatne, Chairman of the National Council on Road Safety, stated that raids on this have already been intensified across the country.
57 drivers were tested in Bastian Mawatha, Colombo in relation to this operation.
Out of those tested, 10 drivers were found to be under the influence of various narcotics.
The Chairman emphasized that these mobile units are crucial for conducting on-the-spot testing to ensure road safety.
