President Calls for Unity and Determination

COLOMBO (News1st): Extending his wishes for  Thai Pongal, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake says that  ThaiPongal symbolizes prosperity and gratitude, and is also an invitation to embark on a new journey in the future with courage and confidence.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake also said that following the most significant natural disaster faced in recent times, the nation is working with great effort and firm determination, fueled by the hope of rebuilding.

President Dissanyake also noted that the country is currently engaged in the largest reform effort in its history.

The President said that he wishes for this year’s Thai Pongal celebration to be a great blessing to the journey of building a ‘A Thriving Nation – A Beautiful Life’, by overcoming challenges with firm determination and unity.
