Over 2,200 Persons with Disabilities Affected by Disasters; Compensation to be Provided Through The Presidential Secretariat

COLOMBO (News 1st): National Secretariat for Persons with Disabilities says that nearly 2,200 persons with disabilities have been affected by the recent disaster situation.

The office further noted that the essential equipment used by these individuals has also been damaged due to these circumstances.

Accordingly, the Secretariat says that it has commenced collecting information regarding these individuals at the district level.

Once the value of the damaged equipment is assessed, compensation will be provided through the Presidential Secretariat.
