Christmas Dawned In Joy: Christmas Celebrations Marked Across Sri Lanka

COLOMBO (News 1st): The joyous Christmas, carrying the message of the Prince of Peace, dawned at midnight yesterday.

Marking the birth of Jesus Christ, Sri Lankan Christians joined believers worldwide in celebrating the festival with heartfelt devotion.

The main Christmas service in the country was held at St. Mary’s Shrine in Uswetakeiyawa.

The midnight Mass, which began late last night, was led by the Archbishop of Colombo, His Eminence Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith.
