T-56 Firearm And Ammunition Seized In Elpitiya

COLOMBO (News 1st): Police have seized a T-56 firearm, along with two magazines and 45 rounds of ammunition, that was concealed in the Elpitiya area.
Police said the items were recovered during an operation carried out following a tip-off received by the Senior DIG in charge of the Eastern Province.
The operation was conducted by officers of the Ampara Divisional Criminal Investigation Unit.
Further investigations into the incident are currently underway.
