A/L and All Exams Postponed Indefinitely Amid Flood Crisis

COLOMBO (News 1st); Examinations Commissioner General Indika Liyanage confirmed that the GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examination and all other scheduled exams have been postponed indefinitely due to the prevailing disaster situation across the country.

“Given the current emergency, we have decided to postpone all examinations without setting a new date. The revised schedule will be announced in due course,” she noted.

The decision comes as floods and landslides continue to disrupt transportation and infrastructure, making it impossible for students and staff to safely reach examination centers.
