Train on the Coastal Line Derailed Twice

COLOMBO (News 1st); Train operations on the Coastal Line have been restricted further up to Weligama.

This is due to a train heading towards Maradana derailing again between the Kamburugamuwa and Weligama railway stations. 

The same train had derailed at the same location yesterday afternoon.

The Department of Railways stated that the train derailed once again after it was rerailed.

Due to this, train operations on the Coastal Line are further hindered.
