Woman Arrested for Aiding Murder in Kotahena Shooting

COLOMBO (News 1st): A woman has been arrested for allegedly assisting in a fatal shooting that occurred in Kotahena.

Police say the suspect had connections with a member of an overseas criminal gang and had provided the suspects with a car to carry out the killing.

The woman is also accused of providing the gunmen information about the victim’s travel route.

The 32-year-old suspect was arrested in Aduruppuveediya after investigators found her involvement in facilitating the murder.

The shooting, which took place on the 7th of November on the 16th Lane in Kotahena, resulted in the death of one individual.
