Tangalle Arrests: Police to Seek Detention Orders for 5 Suspects in Kirinda Drug Bust

COLOMBO (News 1st); Police says that detention orders for the five suspects arrested with a vessel on the Tangalle coast, will be obtained.

The suspects were arrested yesterday on suspicion of transporting the consignment of Ice Narcotic, found along the Kirinda Beach.

The suspects were apprehended during an operation carried out by the Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB).

The amount of 'Ice' found previously at the Kirinda beach was 350 kilograms.

Previously, the Tissamaharama Magistrate's Court granted permission to detain and question the seven suspects arrested, for seven days.
