STF Nabs Relatives of Overseas Drug Lords

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Police Special Task Force (STF) has arrested two individuals believed to be closely linked to major international drug traffickers currently residing overseas.

The raids were conducted in Egodauyana (Moratuwa), and Unnaruwa (Minuwangoda), uncovering critical connections to notorious figures in the narcotics underworld.

One suspect, arrested in Modara, has been identified as the relative of "Dubai Taranga", a well-known drug trafficker believed to be operating from Dubai.

STF officers recovered 5 grams and 130 milligrams of crystal methamphetamine (Ice) from his possession.

In a separate operation in Unnaruwa, another individual was apprehended with Ice in his possession. 

He is reportedly a close associate of "Sunil Shantha," also known as "Sunna," another high-profile criminal currently overseas.
