Illegally Imported Jeep Seized In Mirihana

COLOMBO (News 1st): An illegally imported jeep has been seized in Mirihana.

Police said that following an investigation carried out by The Homicides & Organized Crime Investigation Division , a jeep brought into the country without paying duty and using forged documents was recovered from its owner’s residence yesterday.

It has been revealed that the vehicle’s data had been fraudulently entered under another jeep already registered with the Department of Motor Traffic.

The Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division is continuing further investigations to arrest the suspects involved.
