Seven Arrested Over Multi-Million Rupee Pyramid Scheme

COLOMBO (News 1st); Seven suspects have been arrested by the Financial Crimes Investigation Division (FCID) for operating an illegal pyramid scheme.

Police stated that the arrests were made in connection with managing, promoting, and running the scheme, which violated financial regulations.

The suspects, aged between 40 and 64 years, are residents of Ratmalana, Pannipitiya, Galnawa, Hokandara, Peradeniya, and Colombo 04.

Further investigations are underway under the supervision of the FCID.
