Temporary Bus Services Permitted in Central and Uva Provinces

COLOMBO (News 1st): Inter-provincial passenger transport has been temporarily authorized for buses operating in the Central and Uva provinces, following disruptions to train services on the Upcountry Railway Line caused by heavy rainfall.

Deputy Minister of Transport Dr. Prasanna Gunasena stated that this decision was taken to facilitate the return of individuals who had travelled to their hometowns for the Deepavali festival celebrations back to Colombo.
