Kalutara Jailer Arrested Over Suspected Drug Links

COLOMBO(News 1st); A prison jailer has been arrested in the Kalutara area on suspicion of involvement in drug trafficking.

The suspect, a second-class jailer and resident of Waskaduwa, was apprehended during a raid conducted by the Kalutara North Police.

According to police, the arrest was made based on information provided by an employee at the prison cafeteria.

The Kalutara North Police have launched a full investigation into the incident.
