Ex-Minister Manusha Nanayakkara Arrested Over Israel Job Scheme Probe

COLOMBO (News 1st); Former Minister of Labour and Foreign Employment Manusha Nanayakkara was taken into custody today (15) by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) in connection with an ongoing probe into alleged irregularities in sending Sri Lankan workers for agricultural jobs in Israel. 

Nanayakkara arrived at the Commission this morning to provide a statement regarding the investigation.

However, officials confirmed that he was arrested after his appearance.
