Kehelbaddara Padme And Backhoe Saman Questioned By Police

COLOMBO (News 1st): Organized criminals Kehelbaddara Padme and Backhoe Saman, who are currently in custody, were questioned at length by police in connection with ongoing investigations.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) stated that the suspects were brought to the Western Province North Crime Division and questioned for over four hours.

Meanwhile, Sampath Manamperi, who is in the custody of the Police Narcotics Bureau, is scheduled to be brought to the Western Province North Crime Division today (21st) for questioning regarding the discovery of ICE-containing chemicals buried on his land in Middeniya.

Police said the questioning of the suspects is being conducted under special permission from the Inspector General of Police.

The Government Analyst and the National Dangerous Drugs Control Board recently confirmed that the stock of chemicals found buried in and near the Middeniya property contained Methamphetamine, commonly known as ICE.
