Sri Lanka Customs Records Highest-Ever Revenue so far this Year, Surpassing Targets

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Customs has generated record revenue over the past few months, exceeding its collection targets.

According to Customs, revenue in August alone amounted to Rs. 244 billion, well above the monthly target of Rs. 190 billion. 

In July, revenue reached Rs. 231 billion, while in June the department collected Rs. 200 billion.

Altogether, Customs has earned Rs. 1,471 billion during the first eight months of the year. 

Officials noted that this marks a significant increase compared to the corresponding period last year.
