151 Rural Bridges Completed

COLOMBO(News 1st); According to the Ministry of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies, construction work on 151 bridges has been completed under the Rural Bridge Construction Project.

A total of 162 bridges are planned to be built under this project.

Launched with the aim of improving rural transportation, urban-rural connectivity, and the quality of life in rural communities, the project is expected to be completed by February next year.

By this September, the project has achieved 96% physical progress.
