Government Probes Vehicle Deals in Local Bodies

COLOMBO (News 1st); The Ministry of Public Administration has announced the initiation of an official investigation into vehicles procured for provincial and local government institutions in recent years.

Deputy Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils, and Local Government, Ruwan Senarath, revealed that the decision was prompted by concerns over the poor quality of vehicles supplied during the previous procurement period.

The investigation is expected to be carried out at the provincial council level, with further details to be disclosed as the process unfolds.
