Postal Strike Called off After Talks with Minister Jayatissa

COLOMBO (News 1st) :The postal trade unions have decided to suspend their strike, which was based on 19 demands.

The decision followed discussions today with the Minister in charge, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, and relevant authorities.

Postmaster General Ruwan Sathkumara outlined that the next step is to clear the pending mails. 

He said that plans have been made to handle the situation methodically as soon as possible.
