Thabo Mbeki Library: A New Chapter for Ampegama Primary School

A significant milestone was marked in the history of Ampegama Primary School today, as the foundation stone for the new 'Thabo Mbeki Library' was officially laid, promising a brighter future for its 567 students. The ceremony was graced by the presence of His Excellency Thabo Mbeki, former President of South Africa, alongside Mr. Chevaan Daniel, leader of the Gammadda Project.

The event, held at the venerable institution with a history spanning over a century, brought together key figures dedicated to community development and education. Among the dignitaries present were the Divisional Secretary of Welivitiya-Divithura Division, the Zonal Director of Education of Elpitiya, and the Principal of Ampegama Primary School.
