Group Attempting to Enter Nightclub with Yoshitha Involved in Brawl with Bouncer

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A club bouncer was injured after an altercation involving a group that arrived with Yoshitha Rajapaksa at a nightclub in Park Street, Union Place.

Police said that Yoshitha Rajapaksa, his wife, and others in their group arrived at the nightclub in Park Street, Union Place early this morning (22).

As part of the nightclub's standard entry procedures, security staff asked the group to wear identification wristbands.

A tense situation arose when the group refused to comply, leading to a confrontation that escalated into physical violence.

Bouncers at the nightclub later reported the incident to the Police.

The injured bouncer is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Colombo.

The Kompannavidiya Police have launched an investigation into the matter.
