Alcohol-Fueled Argument Leads to Fatal Stabbings in Baddegama

COLOMBO (News 1st); A violent altercation between two groups in the Maddewila area of Baddegama has resulted in the deaths of two brothers from the same family.

Sri Lanka Police reported that three other individuals were injured in the incident.

The deceased brothers were aged 32 and 34.

According to the police, the conflict escalated following a heated argument fueled by alcohol consumption. The argument eventually led to the fatal stabbings.

The police confirmed that the victims succumbed to injuries inflicted by sharp weapons.

The injured individuals are currently receiving treatment at the Baddegama and Karapitiya hospitals.
