NTC to Introduce Electronic Payment System for Public Transport

COLOMBO (News 1st) - National Transport Commission says an electronic payment system for public transport will be introduced. 

The initiative aims to reduce cash usage and offer greater convenience to passengers. 

Payments will also be accepted via bank cards. 

The Transport Commission said that electronic payment devices will be installed on every bus in the near future.
